About Hands-On Courses

For Courses Held at Pterra Offices

Hands-On case studies serve to enhance the learning of technical concepts through real-world applications using commercial software for system analysis.  For Pterra courses designated as Hands-On courses, desktop or notebook computers are provided at the venue. One desktop may be shared among 2 or 3 participants.

You may choose to bring your own notebook computer with your company's licensed software. Course instructors will be able to provide coaching on most of today's commercial software for power system analysis. Please advise Pterra in advance (in the registration process) if you are bringing your own notebook computer and what software you will use.

For Courses Held at Client Offices

You may choose to use your own licensed software for the hands-on portions of the course.  Our course instructors will be able to provide coaching on most of today's commercial software for power system analysis.
